"When they attack us, we already know what we are going to do. We are not going to sit down. We will not shut up. And we will not leave. That is what we are going to do."
Univision's Jorge Ramos was speaking at the networks entertainment awards show, Premios Lo Nuestro ("Our Awards"), taking the opportunity to help increase the divide between latin/hispanic community and all of us racists/"hitlers". We're such a horrible nation wanting people to come here legally, wanting our laws respected and enforced aren't we?
Ramos preached to both legal and illegal aliens telling the audience:
"I am an immigrant, just like many of you. I am a proud Latino immigrant here in the United States. My name is Jorge Ramos, and I work at Univision and at the Fusion network. And you know exactly what is going on here in the United States. There are many people who do not want us to be here, and who want to create a wall in order to separate us. But you know what? This is also our country. Let me repeat this: OUR country, not theirs. It is our country. And we are not going to leave. We are nearly 60 million Latinos in the United States. And thanks to US, the United States eats, grows and, as we've seen today, sings and dances. So when they attack us, we already know what we are going to do. We are not going to sit down. We will not shut up. And we will not leave. That is what we are going to do."
This guy completely ignores the fact that Americans have issue with ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, we don't care about those who come here legally. Legal immigrants can stay, Americans want the illegals out starting with those who are criminals. We have a problem with people who believe they have a right to be here just because! We have a problem with people who come here driving wages down, taking jobs from Americans, straining our economic and social entitlement system, who abuse our education and healthcare industries getting special treatment!
When progressives like Ramos are among their own in what they believe a safe place they will speak their mind. This is not YOUR COUNTRY JORGE, but please go right on ahead with this kind of rhetoric. Don't be surprised when the people lash-out at you. You create the racial divide, claim this is "your" [hispanic/latin community] country, don't whine when it gets thrown back at you!
