More money, YOUR money going to 'Cash for Clunkers'

So the rocket scientists were wrong on the money needed for "cash for clunkers" program as it is already out of money but the program was suppose to last til Oct/Nov. Isn't it safe to say they are wrong on everything else they are trying to ram down our throats? Not to mention isnt this proof enough of how wrong it is to continue electing attorneys into public office vs business men/women?

It amazes me how 545 people can get away with murder while 300million sit back and do nothing this zombie mentality needs to end folks.....

WASHINGTON – The House has voted to rush an additional $2 billion into the popular but financially strapped "cash for clunkers" car purchase program.

The bill was approved on a vote of 316-109. House members acted within hours of learning from Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood that the program was running out of money.

Called the Car Allowance Rebate System, or CARS, the program is designed to help the economy and the environment by spurring new car sales. Car owners can receive federal subsidies of up to $4,500 for trading in their old cars for new ones that achieve significantly higher gas mileage........"

BTW that is a lot of cars at $4500 (up to) a pop under a billion $ I think the math works our to 222K and change in units(cars/trucks) with an addl $2bil totaling 3billion for this looking at 666.6K units!! If im wrong on the math please go ahead and correct me. Who has the money for a new car, and who is issuing the credit on these purchases?!
