The left is going absolutely nuts now over Pres Trump's Executive Action restricting refugees ("muslim ban") entry to the US from parts of the world deemed hotspots for radical islamic terrorism (Syria, Iraq, Iran etc).
This EA is another campaign promise Trump made in 2015 being fulfilled to battle extreme radical islam...
What is crucial for you to know and share with everyone you know is that this Executive Action is 100% legal for the President of the United States to issue supported by existing US law! Furthermore, this wouldn't be the first time a US President issued a ban/ restrictions against a "class of aliens".
First things first, here is Pres Carter's statement invoking the same legal power, as Trump, during the 1980 hostage crisis:
"...Fourth, the Secretary of Treasury [State] and the Attorney General will invalidate all visas issued to Iranian citizens for future entry into the United States, effective today. We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly..."
The law that gave Carter that authority 37 years ago is the same immigration law Trump is no doubt using, that no one wants to read let alone follow anymore.
Under 8 US Code § 1182 - Inadmissible aliens
"...(f) Suspension of Entry or Imposition of Restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline."
So there you have it America and shame on each and everyone of the know-it-all's, Constitutional scholars being rolled out by the fake news media and armchair attorneys for not doing their homework before condemning Pres Trump for doing what Carter did!
While the children of the left complain, calling Trump a white supremacist, racist and a bigot, demanding something be done to stop him, it's all a moot point because the US LAW supersedes their feelings. POTUS has the authority/ power to stop ANY CLASS of aliens, immigrants or non-immigrants from entering the US period, end of discussion.
Keep in mind, as the left's heads explode, our enemies are working hard on their next attack. Terrorists aren't wasting their time worrying about what dems might do to help them, while they're laughing at us terrorists are mixing in with the refugees and illegal aliens crossing the border right now! Fact: We know at least one of the Paris attackers in 2015 had in fact hidden themselves among refugees and the 2016 Berlin attacker was a refugee as well. Now we have new reports of all the creative ways terrorists are using to infiltrate and avoid capture up to and including suicide bombers using babies! While our "front door" has been closed to them, they're still moving to other countries the US is friendly with and then finding a way in.
That kids is why Trump's EO to build the border wall is so important. It's a barrier, another line of nation defense, not from illegals coming here stealing from Americans but to stop terrorists from getting in.
The one take away anyone should have from this post is this: All Donald Trump has done is issue a proclamation within his right as POTUS to protect the United States. Liberals will no doubt throw a fit, so understand this, they're mad he is enforcing existing law which is the opposite of the lawlessness we witnessed under obama!
