While we all happily countdown the end of obama term the sad truth is, he isn't going away. The obama's are setting up camp in DC and will be there every step of the way to criticize Donald Trump.
As pointed out by the Washington Examiner obama promised back in November "that next year Michelle and I are going to be right there with you, and the clouds are going to start parting and the sun is going to come back out, and we're going to be busy, involved in the amazing stuff that we've been doing all these years before."
Take that infamous line from Obi Wan Kenobi, which was meant for the good of the galaxy right before his death, that if Vader strikes him down he will become more powerful than Vader could possibly imagine and twist it around for the "dark side" with obama meddling.
The hard truth is, as a civilian barack obama is going back to his old community organizing ways and he will become more dangerous than he was as potus. Based on what we've seen how the Clinton's, Al Gore and other ex-govt democrats have become super rich and meddled in Americas affairs, there is no doubt obama will become the richest of them all and most active. He will take that money from whatever foundation he creates and what he has learned from other radicals, including the don Soros, and funnel it to the most radical hardcore groups in the US.
