Five years before he was shot to death in the failed terrorist attack in Garland, Texas, Nadir Soofi walked into a suburban Phoenix gun shop to buy a 9-millimeter pistol.

At the time, Lone Wolf Trading Co. was known among gun smugglers for selling illegal firearms. And with Soofi's history of misdemeanor drug and assault charges, there was a chance his purchase might raise red flags in the federal screening process.

Inside the store, he fudged some facts on the form required of would-be gun buyers.

What Soofi could not have known was that Lone Wolf was at the center of a federal sting operation known as Fast and Furious, targeting Mexican drug lords and traffickers. The idea of the secret program was to allow Lone Wolf to sell illegal weapons to criminals and straw purchasers, and track the guns back to large smuggling networks and drug cartels.

Instead, federal agents lost track of the weapons and the operation became a fiasco, particularly after several of the missing guns were linked to shootings in Mexico and the 2010 killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Arizona.

Soofi's attempt to buy a gun caught the attention of authorities, who slapped a seven-day hold on the transaction, according to his Feb. 24, 2010, firearms transaction record, which was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times. Then, for reasons that remain unclear, the hold was lifted after 24 hours, and Soofi got the 9-millimeter.

The First Amendment was created to protect all types of speech including the most offensive and insulting. For whatever reason progressives (left and right) think it only applies for those things they approve of thus the attacks against Pamela Geller instead of focusing on the fact terrorists tried to attack Americans. Geller's cartoon contest did not incite or cause the two terrorists to strike. They already hated us and were just looking for an event to unleash that hate on innocent, defenseless people. Proof of this was the strike on 9/11 as the Judge points out. No one was drawing pics of muhammad on 9/10 or the weeks and months prior! Thankfully the two armed with AK-47's looking to kill Americans were stopped by one cop with his service pistol! Terrorists are in America right now and the idea that we all should be silent, aka Sharia compliant, so we don't offend them is purely insane. The hate they have for America didn't just start in the last 10-20 years or because of America's support for the Shah in the 1950'. Pamela Geller Puts Juan Williams in His Place For "Enforcing Sharia Law"

Well last night Pamela Geller hammered away Anjem Choudary and tonight she put prog Juan Williams in his place.

Williams joins a huge list of Americans who wants Geller and those of like minds to be silenced. Maybe its harsh to label all these bobble-heads as muslim sympathizers and anti-American but how else would you describe them? This is America, freedom of speech no matter how offensive is at our very core. This controversy is not about a bunch of stupid cartoons but ones right to express themselves without fearing for their lives. We cannot allow those in the media and positions of influence telling Americans to be quiet, or there is a better way to deal with the savages "just don't say anything mean about them". Anyone who is calling for silence wants to appease our enemies out of fear and that equates to a victory for the death cult. Those calling for critics of radical islam to be silent are more or less offering cover and aid to guys like Anjem Choudary! Radical islamists are enjoying every minute of this fight on free speech waiting for people in this country to take a step back as they take two steps forward.

We really have to thank Geller on two fronts:
1) For standing up for our First Amendment Rights and not backing down to the death cult or her critics.
2) The response from her draw Muhammad contest made a lot of right leaning, even supposed conservatives show their true colors on where they stand on our freedom. Many on Fox are in fact calling for people to be silent so as not to offend islam... that ladies and gents is also called being Sharia compliant!

What this is aside from people being Sharia compliant is another example of political correctness completely out of control. Critics pushing the PC angle cannot seem to understand islamists are not going to stop if we just talk nice to them. The death cult hates everything about America and our influence around the world. With so many coming out condemning Pamela Geller's 'Draw Muhammad' cartoon contest they have more or less chalked up another win for radical islam. Pundits on both sides of the aisle are warning people not to say anything bad about islam because they don't want the psychopaths offended. They are more of less saying yes silence free speech and give away another freedom for a false sense of security!

As the cleric points out it is blasphemy under sharia to defame the prophet and allah. Hannity fires back that Americans do not want to live under their oppressive laws where Choudary says to Hannity "you will be one day Sean, Sharia is coming to America as you well know". That said consider this, with so many saying "be quiet", "don't insult them", "stop offending muslims" are we not being subjected to sharia law right now!? Progressives left and right are showing their true colors of how much they loathe the First Amendment and Constitution over this Draw Muhammad event. It doesn't matter if you like the cartoons or not the issue is about free speech and our freedoms under direct attack. The cartoons are not directly beneficial to us but the ability to produce them and hold an event as Pamela Geller did is a right at the very core of our Republic many are clearly trying to silence.

Richard Fowler's idea of using common sense is to silence ones free speech. There is no comparison between yelling fire in a theater and drawing a picture of Muhammad. This man is purely insane to make such a comparison. By his logic we shouldn't say anything controversial because it might make someone mad and they might go on a killing spree so STFU!? The contest was not done to inflame radical islamists. There are more offensive things that can be done to offend and inflame islamists if one wanted to. Material that frankly is extremely vile and graphic!

It is incredibly disturbing how many people within the media (left & right) are attacking Geller for simply invoking her First Amendment rights. Where are these critics when conservatives are attacked by pro-islamists who call them every name in the book, trash America, Christianity & Judaism, our Constitution etc? Where was Martha MacCallum when the islamists are demanding Sharia Law be instituted and accepted in America? This is America, freedom of speech was not created to protect language everyone is already in agreement with.
