FCC Proposes $1.7B Plan to Expand Obamaphone Program to Give Poor Families Obamainternet

Well since we have "free" obamaphones it should be no surprise that the FCC is looking to offer obamainternet at the taxpayers expense too. Where is all the money coming from to finance all this free stuff? PM Margaret Thatcher said “the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.” That said what exactly will the progressives do once the rich people they have taxed to death are out of money?

This govt is full on crazy doing everything it can to maintain its vast pool of uneducated, unskilled, dependent, entitlement voters like this gem...

"What about poor people needing internet access to look for jobs or study?" While Americans feel their pain because unexpected things happen in life the poor can go to the library, use facilities at unemployment offices, maybe family or friends will let them access their network. Those in school can use the schools internet to get what they need or go to places that offer free wifi. While we want to help poor people taxpayers are being beaten up with all this "free stuff" they have to pay for, it's completely unsustainable. Why are so many poor in the first place? Because this govt is doing nothing to get our economy going, instead they create more regulations and taxes which hurt businesses preventing them from expanding and hiring. Govt is the problem not the solution!

The obamaphone lady made it clear in 2012, vote for obama and you will get more free stuff. So she was right and if the govt has to make the internet "free" to stay in power at your expense you can be sure they will do it.

Obamanet: FCC Passes Net Neutrality to Regulate Internet as Public Utility

The nation was warned this power grab over the internet was coming but like everything Americans sit around do nothing expecting someone else to come along to do something about.

What will happen now? Immediately nothing but the first thing to expect is a hike in prices, taxes and fees since the web, obamanet, will be regulated like a public utility. This power grab down the road (next3-5 years) will most likely lead to established standards to censorship of internet content and of course licensing. The govt regulates the radio and tv so the standards established for them will apply to web content, it is inevitable. That could very well mean small sites like Saving the Republic to large ones like The Blaze, Huffington Post, Politico, Daily Caller and Drudge etc will have to submit to govt standards on the content delivered aka information you have access to.

We don't know for sure what will become of the net because the 332 page plan was kept from the people but now that obamanet is passed we can see it so time will tell. One thing is for sure the sharing of information will be under federal control, they will one day dictate what we can and cannot say. Days of exposing corruption, scandals may be coming to an end where we will be forced to rely on state controlled news agencies aka media for information. 3 people in the FCC just brought us to living in Orwells 1984...
