FCC Proposes $1.7B Plan to Expand Obamaphone Program to Give Poor Families Obamainternet

Well since we have "free" obamaphones it should be no surprise that the FCC is looking to offer obamainternet at the taxpayers expense too. Where is all the money coming from to finance all this free stuff? PM Margaret Thatcher said “the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.” That said what exactly will the progressives do once the rich people they have taxed to death are out of money?

This govt is full on crazy doing everything it can to maintain its vast pool of uneducated, unskilled, dependent, entitlement voters like this gem...

"What about poor people needing internet access to look for jobs or study?" While Americans feel their pain because unexpected things happen in life the poor can go to the library, use facilities at unemployment offices, maybe family or friends will let them access their network. Those in school can use the schools internet to get what they need or go to places that offer free wifi. While we want to help poor people taxpayers are being beaten up with all this "free stuff" they have to pay for, it's completely unsustainable. Why are so many poor in the first place? Because this govt is doing nothing to get our economy going, instead they create more regulations and taxes which hurt businesses preventing them from expanding and hiring. Govt is the problem not the solution!

The obamaphone lady made it clear in 2012, vote for obama and you will get more free stuff. So she was right and if the govt has to make the internet "free" to stay in power at your expense you can be sure they will do it.

Sen Thune Slams FCC Ahead of Net Neutrality Vote

America do you understand what is coming? Freedom of speech on the internet is in danger if the FCC passes net neutrality. No it won't happen overnight nothing does in DC. Bad things happen slowly, subtlety over period of time after a power grab like this until one day you wake up to see blasting dirtbag politicians or saying whatever is on your mind on your blog or facebook wall that is "hot" could very well be deemed illegal. You know obamacare is horrible under govt control so just imagine how it will be with the govt in control of the internet!

Sen Thune here slams the FCC on its Net Neutrality vote but what else is he doing to stop it? Why is it he and others in Congress are not doing anything to put the stop on regulatory agencies like the FCC from infringing on our rights? Thune points out what this FCC does could be overturned by a future new FCC chairman but we've heard this song before!

All the debates we are having over ISIS, gun rights, amnesty, obamacare, funding this and that, whether obama loves America etc could all be silenced in just a few years.

Why aren't you warning your friends, family, co-workers left or right about how this govt, under the FCC an unelected group of individuals, wants to take control over the internet to more or less control free speech? What will it take to get people off their asses to stop making excuses and get active? Will you care when your ISP (internet service provider) raises their prices? When broadband speeds drop and you can't download whatever it is you watch online be enough to do or say something? Will you care when your comment on a given topic is removed and you are issued a warning over harsh speech? Oh you do know if it takes all of those listed above to get active and demand NO on Net Neutrality it's too late right!

That's the problem with you America, you are re-active instead of pro-active. Go ahead go back to your cat videos, silly memes, ball game and shopping... just don't bitch when the hammer comes down!

FCC Commissioner Warns Obama's Internet Power Grab

We always go looking for people within the govt to speak out put up the warning flags when something bad is coming. Well here we have it but no one is paying attention to FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai who is ringing the warning bell about obama's internet power grab.

Do you have an idea for a product or service, want to set up a blog, new site etc? Once the internet is made into a utility it will be regulated by the govt, which means anyone wanting to conduct any form of commerce will most likely have to get a license to be on the net. Good luck for news and opinion based websites like the one you're reading this on because Net Neutrality will be a backdoor opportunity to squash First Amendment rights.

Net Neutrality has nothing to do with internet speeds, there is no problem with speed no one is complaining, it's all about a power grab to silence free speech on the web. The internet is the biggest threat to progressive govts because of the sharing of information. Imagine if Net Neutrality was in place 4-5 years ago, do you think we would know what we know about Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS targeting conservatives, have all those clips of obama LYING about obamacare or even more recent the 22 times he said he didn't have the legal authority to grant amnesty?!

The biggest thorn in this govt or any govt's side is the internet because it is the last frontier of true freedom. You can't stop your opposition until you first silence them. The internet is a game changer in the way we do just about anything in life. Once upon a time you needed an agent or some middleman to get your work out to the masses. Not anymore with the net. You write books, stories, articles, record music, act etc can all be published and shared bypassing the middleman.. especially when it is political in nature criticizing the power elite. That's pure freedom and it is something tyrants like obama will do everything possible to silence.

What happens every time someone fixes something that isn't broke? They make it worse! Look at it this way do you want the same govt who ruined the DMV, AmTrak, healthcare etc in control of the internet? The net is not broken we do not need it fixed.

Judge Napolitano: Obama to Bypass Congress on Net Neutrality

Govt regulators have entirely too much power over this "free" society and market. The FCC, EPA, and all the other govt alphabet mafia organizations that shake down American corporations and people must be reined in. When major decisions are made at these agencies that will have a direct affect on commerce but more importantly peoples civil rights they should get Congressional approval. Some monsters that live among us don't want to be Mayors, Senators, Representatives, Governors or even President, they want to be a Regulator because they go unchecked most of the time and have more impact than any elected individual or piece of legislation.

Net Neutrality will be bad for everyone regardless of the benefits proponents claim. It will leave the flow or rather control of information on the internet in the hands of govt. The internet is the last true example of freedom, you can do just about anything you want on the net from speaking your mind to making money. If the feds get their claws into the net and treat it as a utility a persons ability to speak out or make a buck will be lost. Just as the feds control content on tv and radio they will have the same power on the net.

You melted the phone lines in DC when Boehner was up for re-election as Speaker putting fear into the GOP. It would be in every Americans best interest left or right, conservative or liberal, communist or capitalist to melt the phone & fax lines and crash their email servers making it clear to keep their dirty corrupt hands off the net!
