Dem Rep Adriano Espaillat said there is no emergency on the southern border and Pres Trump's declaration is a farce. The truckloads of illegal drugs and weapons, human trafficking (where Texas BP snagged 400+ illegals in the span of 5 min) is nothing but a figment of our imagination, because the real emergency is protecting DREAMers.
Had our immigration laws been enforced we wouldn't have this alleged "emergency" for DREAMers as they, their families and 20mil other illegals wouldn't be in the US right now!
The only reason democrats want to "protect" DREAMers is because they're using them to gain power and control. The dems couldn't careless about these kids, nor their parents, all they see is new voters so long as they continue to pander to them. The Black community is quickly waking up to this abuse and use by the dems, it would be nice if illegals and their kids could see they're headed on the same path.

The Democrats and 12 GOP senators seem to think Pres Trump's National Emergency declaration is uncalled for, trivializing the crisis we all see unfolding daily along the US southern border. Following the House and then Senate passing resolutions of disapproval, the final draft was sent to his desk to be signed, where as promised it was VETOED by Pres Trump.
Trump being a showman, knowing how to get a message across to the country (since the media LIES), had the VP, Angel Mom's, border agents, law enforcement who are on the front lines, ya know actual experts on the border crisis, in attendance as well as DHS Sec Nielsen and Atty Gen Barr. Following DHS Sec's comments the AG weighed in stating unequivocally Pres Trump was acting well within the rule of law and the powers delegated to him under the National Emergencies Act passed in 1976.
“The crisis that we’re dealing with today is right on our doorstep and it presents a real clear and present danger to the American people. What you've done from a legal standpoint is solidly grounded in law and from the standpoint of protecting the American people it's imperative.”
Does his comment sound rehearsed, a little too well prepared legal analysis/ validation? Maybe, if anything this was Trump, through Barr, sending a message to the obstructionists he's not playing games. The democrats and backstabbing GOP establishment hopes of the DOJ being on their side dried up in about 75 seconds.
The Senate voted 59-41 on their resolution to block Pres Trump's LEGAL National Emergency declaration to secure the southern border. Of those 59 12 were republicans who chose to side with democrats VIOLATING the Separation of Powers by interfering with powers legally delegating by Congress in 1976 to the Executive Branch. These 12 republican senators do not deserve your support let alone vote come 2020.

These people are not reading the laws they're being charged with enforcing. If they did they're damn jobs they would know Trump is clearly acting within his right under the National Emergencies Act of 1976 and the Military Construction Codification Act of 1982. These republicans are putting politics ahead of national security. We have tons of lethal illegal drugs, weapons, tens of thousands of illegal aliens crossing the US-Mexican border every month. If these things, as well health issues, criminals, terrorists etc, aren't enough for the situation to be deemed a crisis then what is!?

The US DOES NOT have the infrastructure to take care of an additional 1,000,000 people who have NOTHING to offer the nation. * For a Constitutional conservative, Mike Lee's action is beyond shameful. He knows better, there is no excuse/ rational explanation he can issue as to why he voted this way. This isn't the first time he's wandered off the reservation, 2020 may be the right time to retire him

Right now we have 5 republicans saying they will voter against Pres Trump's National Emergency declaration. The fact he is invoking law passed by Congress 43 years ago well within the powers of the Executive Branch seem to not matter. They think it's violation of the Separation of Powers as the House controls where the money is spent. The NEA allows POTUS to redirect funds and these RINO's don't like it, some even consider it dictatorial powers, even though Congress in 1976 enacted it!
We expect Collins, Murkowski, Tillis and even Rand Paul to go against the grain, but Mike Lee!? This guy is making a terrible decision to side with the democrats. Lee and Paul are committing political suicide when they KNOW the border is overrun with illegal aliens, guns, drugs, criminals and worse coming across. Let's make something clear hear, Pres Trump has TERRIBLE advisers. He DOES NOT have to invoke the Nat'l Emergency Act to get the border secure. The wall/fence can be built under 10 U.S. Code § 284 (b(7)), it literally spells it out in 1 sentence, "Construction of roads and fences and installation of lighting to block drug smuggling corridors across international boundaries of the United States.”
The law is written where there is nothing stopping Trump from declaring the entire border a drug smuggling corridor where the military can build the fence!
These republicans KNOW THIS too, you would think instead of being against Trump they'd speak with him and say "Look, I gotta problem with you using the NEA, just invoke 10 USC 284 and let's call it a day!" These people are putting politics ahead of national security. They care more about the optics and the negative narrative democrats are pushing than our safety. They deserve to be removed from office.
As for Paul Ryan... F him- he's got to be one of the biggest backstabbers the GOPe ever produced.
