Dem Congressman Would LOVE to Regulate Free Speech But the Constitution Stops Him

CA dem congressman Ted Lieu was asked about the House Judiciary Committee hearing with Google's CEO over the content of speech stating clearly he "would love to be able to regulate the content of speech. The First Amendment prevents me from doing so, and that's simply a function of the First Amendment, but I think over the long run, it's better the government does not regulate the content of speech." You can be sure if democrats held a super majority right now LIEu would be all in favor of regulating the content of speech regardless of his belief govt should not get involved.

Take note he never said govt staying out of it as an absolute, he has in fact left the door open. Remember democrats DO NOT LIKE the Constitution, if they could take a match to it today they would! obama spelled it out, that it is a "charter of negative liberties" restricting the govt from doing things to the people. Democrats use every loophole they can come up with to undermine and usurp the powers of the Constitution, look at all the laws they pass violating the Second Amendment. It has its own Do Not Touch clause but that doesn't stop them. They get away with it because half the country supports them. If the opportunity ever presented itself for dems to violate 1A as 2A they'll do it with LIEu authoring the regs and laws!

Democrats do not like people speaking out against them. Google, Twitter and Facebook, as the dominant most widely used social media platforms, censoring conservatives is a shining example of that. Big Tech as of now is doing the dirty work for people like LIEu in govt, who dare not move to infringe on the First Amendment; he more or less admits this in his statement!

Are we learning yet how elections have consequences?

Ted Lieu epitomizes the horrible line of "leaders" California churns out. They act on feelings and emotions, literally creating law out of thin-air to suit their agenda, that their followers then run with as if it's written in stone.

This is the new reality of the Left. They now make declarations that sound official but have no legislative or statutory base; as they're doing with "collusion", there is no law on the books but they talk as if it's a crime. Not surprising the media never questions the legality of what politicians say, they accept it and pile on.

Not sure where in LIEu's copy of the Constitution it says POTUS can't pardon someone, but the original one explicitly states under Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 POTUS has the power to pardon anyone, except in cases of impeachment. If Jim Acosta did his job, he claims he's a journalist, he would've called LIEu out to cite the law. Maybe this "impeachable offense" LIEu claims is right there with the "Good and Plenty" clause progressives (closet communists) love to invoke when they have nothing left to stand on.

Democrats... socialists are looking for any reason at this point to get Trump AND Pence out of office. (Keep in mind they hate Pence as much, the Left wants them both out) Anything he does within his plenary power they're now claiming is an obstruction of justice. Do you see the pattern? They just keep making things up. If you're okay with all of this by all means stay home this Nov and tell your family and friends to sit home too. If the idea of guys like this running the country scares you then you, your friends, family and like minded better be out like it was 2016 all over again.

Pelosi Wants Congress to Take Authority of Nuclear First Strike Away From POTUS (Video)

Nancy Pelosi more or less wants America to wait, should things come to it, to release nuclear weapons. "There are all kinds of proposals out there, one saying 'declaring the United States of America will not engage in first use of a nuclear weapon'. I like that one best." In other words the US would have to get hit before a strike would be initiated, where Congress would be the ones making the decision to launch or not! Don't assume if they were to have this authority they would authorize a launch. You know the people who can't repeal obamacare, want to disarm us while arming Iran (and North Korea for that matter), who pass destructive bills in the middle of the night and in general can't agree on anything. The same people who act in their best interests, becoming millionaires at our expense.

It's quite insulting when Pelosi talks about the oath they take to defend America when she, and her ilk, more or less want us to get hit first with nukes. That is what she is saying, like it or not.

If tensions get so bad, a nuclear strike is imminent, do we really want a bunch of politicians debating on the House and Senate floor whether or not to launch nuclear weapons? You've seen the footage of how debates go on very heated subjects. Need you be reminded of the all-night filibusters? Could you imagine A democrat or republican holding up the vote to launch or not! XYZ's missiles are inbound, they'll hit their target in approximately 40 MINUTES but let's have a debate and then vote what to do. AND YOU KNOW America, there will be many, on both sides of the aisle, who will argue against launching missiles EVER AFTER an attack against the US, leaving 10's, 100's of thousands if not millions dead and injured!

This is the exact reason the decision to launch rests solely with the President of the United States who will already consult with military leaders. Pelosi knows this, so why she suggests POTUS to discuss with cabinet and/ or congressional members just goes to show how wacky she's become.

Time is not a luxury, again, on avg, missiles from the time they're launched to the time they reach their target is approx 40 minutes!! Imagine tensions being high, we know launch is imminent from an enemy and these baboons want to have a debate whether or not to respond.

Democrats are so unhinged they want to seize power from the Executive Branch. Yes, Sen Markey and Rep Lieu intro'd bill while obama was in office, but that had no support, this time around because Trump, a republican, is in office, dems want to push it through. Be happy the GOP holds majority, for now, and let it be a lesson to you elections have consequences.
