House Republicans Reopening Criminal Probe Into IRS's Lois Lerner (Video)

Rep Peter Roskam, a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, appeared on Varney & Co saying there is enough evidence to go after Lois Lerner and charge her for criminal activity. He points out Lerner "denied people due process and equal protection of the law based on their political philosophy," and that "she lied to the Inspector General of the Treasury Department".

If you recall the obama DOJ did nothing to Lerner after the outright circus that unfolded by the IRS under her direction. The agency was more or less weaponized against anyone and group who opposed the obama admin. Now that the Trump admin is in power and we have a law abiding Attorney General (Jeff Sessions) now is the time for this unindicted felon to be brought to justice!

Why you might ask the SPINELESS House republicans have backed off voting to impeach IRS chief John Koskinen? Apparently because of the election! IRS Commissioner Admits Lois Lerner's Hard Drive Was Destroyed

Koskinen: "I'm advised the actual hard drive, after it was determined that it was dysfunctional and that with experts no emails could be retrieved, was recycled and destroyed in the normal process."
Chairman Camp: "So was it physically destroyed?
Koskinen "That's my understanding"
Chairman Camp: "So was it melted down, do you know?"
Koskinen: "I have no idea what the recycler does with it this was three years ago"

All that was missing from this exchange was "DUDE it was three years ago"! Experts have made it clear the emails should be on servers and backups but the fact of the matter is the IRS willfully destroyed material evidence in a Congressional investigation after telling Congress they had Lois Lerner's emails.

If anyone was to pull this crap with the IRS they would be fined if not lose property and be thrown in jail! All we should be hearing from our "leaders" on the hill should be that they are fed up and working on bill to abolish the IRS! Will we hear this? Of course not because the day will come when there is a republican admin that will want to use this agency as a weapon just as the demoncrats have. This is why you never hear McConnell, Boehner or other GOP leaders call for action against this corrupt abusive agency.

IRS Can't Produce Records From Six Employees Involved In Scandal

Could the criminal intent be any more clear at this point? The IRS is deliberately destroying material evidence in an investigation! If you or I were to do this we would be in jail. There is no accountability in the US govt, not even with those charged to investigate this scandal. All we should be hearing is the slamming of prison cell doors at this point, but we won't and never will!

IRS Has Lost More E-mails...

It’s not just Lois Lerner’s e-mails. The Internal Revenue Service says it can’t produce e-mails from six more employees involved in the targeting of conservative groups, according to two Republicans investigating the scandal.

The IRS told Ways and Means chairman Dave Camp and subcommittee chairman Charles Boustany that computer crashes resulted in additional lost e-mails, including from Nikole Flax, the chief of staff to former IRS commissioner Steven Miller, who was fired in the wake of the targeting scandal.

The revelation about Lerner’s e-mails rekindled the scandal and today’s news has further inflamed Republicans. Camp and Boustany are now demanding a special prosecutor to investigate “every angle” of the targeting. They expressed particular outrage that the agency has known since February that it would not be able to produce the e-mails requested by the committee yet did not apprise the committee of that fact, and they charged in a statement that the IRS is attempting to “cover up the fact that it convenient lost key documents in the investigation.”

If Lerner is the central figure in the scandal — Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa said Monday evening he believes she was the senior-most official involved — Flax may be an important auxiliary figure. E-mails produced in response to a Freedom of Information Act request from the group Judicial Watch show Flax giving the green light to Lerner’s request to meet with Department of Justice officials to explore the possibility of criminally prosecuting nonprofit groups — at the suggestion of Democratic senator Sheldon Whitehouse — for engaging in political activity after declaring on their application for nonprofit status that they had no plans to do somore

CNN Mocks IRS For Missing Lois Lerner Emails

It's quite refreshing to see members of the imperial propaganda network mock their own!

The regime is deliberately hiding evidence in an investigation and they should be brought up on charges of obstruction. Oh wait that would require a competent Atty General to enforce wouldn't it? Rep Trey Gowdy: Lois Lerner Waived Her 5th Amendment Rights

This is a nice show put on by the Oversight Committee but I expect someone to come to Lerner's aid, remember his majesty has a pen and a phone!

IF Lois Lerner goes to jail you can thank Trey Gowdy! He was the one last year that pointed out she couldn't make her statement and then pull the 5th Amendment. Lerner is protecting the imperial regime I have no doubt the order/ blessing to target conservative and TEA Party groups came from high up. Darrell Issa says emails suggest Elijah Cummings prompted IRS targeting of True the Vote

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has accused the panel's top Democrat of prompting the Internal Revenue Service in 2012 to target a conservative organization applying for non-profit status.

Issa said records obtained last week from the IRS show communications from the office of ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., about True the Vote, a Texas-based, non-profit conservative group that aims to prevent voter fraud.

The communications at one point involved Lois Lerner, the ex-IRS official whom Issa's panel is poised to hold in contempt of Congress on Thursday for refusing to provide testimony about her involvement in targeting conservative groups.

“The IRS and the Oversight Minority made numerous requests for virtually identical information from True the Vote, raising concerns that the IRS improperly shared protected taxpayer information with Rep. Cummings’ staff,” a statement from the Oversight panel reads.

According to Issa, Cummings and his staff sought “copies of all training materials used for volunteers, affiliates, or other entities,” from True the Vote...
