The surge of illegal alien border crossings really hasn't stopped because illegals (and terrorists!) know now is the time to get across while obama is still in power. When he called her out about raising taxes she countered that she only wants taxes on the rich raised... well genius explain to us what's going to happen when that well dries up? Raising taxes on the rich who employ people will not last. As I've argued they will eventually automate, close up shop and/or take their money and retire. Attacking the rich will not solve the problems with our economy. This dolt doesn't understand the problem is govt getting in the way of capitalism through high taxes and regulations which prevent them from investing more thus creating more jobs at better wages.
This mindless socialist said that it's not her job to work the budget yet she's part an effort that has looked at it enough to conclude cutting defense spending will pay for free school! How does that work exactly? You say the money is there but then don't want to explain how to get there?

Frankly if you're not going to college to get into a career that demands a higher degree like medical, science, engineering, law then you're wasting your time and money! By the way if college is made free it will diminish the value of a higher education. It will be equal to getting a HS degree and you can be sure those in power will make it easier to get a degree too! If you want to go to college to get a degree in pop culture YOU PAY FOR IT.
This fight for $15 leader, Naquasia LeGrand, is in complete denial, she has no clue how business economics works. She believes that a rapid wage hike now is a good thing because "people are losing their jobs as we speak". Well as I warned in 2015 there are 6 options business owners have but in the end it will result in more job losses.
When you increase wages you are in fact increasing operating expenses. This means costs go up. Your costs go up then business owners must raise prices to keep the doors open. While this sounds great many are already pushing the limit with price hikes risking the loss of customers/ clientele to larger businesses who have greater buying power which allows them lower costs. In the short run, small business owners will be the first victims of this social justice warrior act of insanity for income equality. Small business owners will first cut whatever expenses they can, next cur worker hours, followed by price hike and then a staff reduction. High prices poor service (will happen from lack of needed workers) will eventually lead to said businesses closing their doors because this push for $15 an hour doesn't work.
Larger businesses will be able to weather this storm longer as they can spread out the costs but they too will eventually make all the same cuts, where they haven't already, and again eventually cut staff. You see one of things no one is talking about is this won't be the last call for a wage increase. Once everyone is at $15 then there will be calls for $17... $20!
You 15'ers have no idea what you have done. Flipping burgers, stocking shelves, running a cash register is low-skilled work, YOU DO NOT DESERVE to make more money than people who have more skills and education! Americans DO NOT care about how you don't make a living wage to support your family of 5 on a part time job because that job was never meant to support a family of 4 or 5! That job was meant to offer entry level experience and training to young people, and to provide supplemental income for those with full time jobs. You have more or less signed your own job death warrant where you will be fired. Workers will be saddled with twice as many job duties to compensate, someday they'll be replaced with machines or again as I warned the business will close up.

Airport screenings are as useless to stopping people from coming here with Ebola. People sick or possibly sick will travel to countries who have no travel bans or screenings to bypass the system to get here in the hopes of taking advantage of our better healthcare system. Worst case scenario you can bet a few are probably crossing the souther border because Mexico, Central & South America surely are not doing anything to stop potential infected travelers.
Travel bans must be instituted immediately against outbreak countries. This virus will spread because no one is doing anything to contain it. I’ve warned before I will warn again Africans physiology is different from Americans, Americans and African is different from Europeans etc. Common sense tells you when this bug reaches a large population center who have different “bugs” and vaccines in their systems it will eventually mutate. How many different strains of the common cold and flu are floating around? What will this bug do when it reaches someone with a bad flu? Containment is priority and it isn’t being done.
Border agents are being restricted from doing their jobs reduced to diaper changers and babysitters! Anyone who opens their mouth will be lucky if they lose their job since this admin has a history of prosecuting people to the full extent of the law.
